Sam Jewison Jazz Trio
Sat 5 October @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Described as a “Renaissance Man in a Jazz World”, Sam Jewison casts his acclaimed interpretation over the Great American Songbook.
Fresh from his sold-out 2023 EFG London Jazz Festival show, Jewison tours the swinging standards and timeless ballads of legendary songwriters, including Cole Porter, Leonard Bernstein, George Gershwin, and many more. Jewison has performed at iconic London venues, including Camden’s famous Jazz Café, Westminster Abbey, and the Royal Opera House.
Harry Sankey (guitar) and Harry Evans (trumpet & double bass) join Jewison in such timeless songs as “Night and Day”, “Someone to Watch Over Me”, and “Cheek to Cheek”, alongside a special tribute to the immortal music of Duke Ellington in his 125th birthday year. Both Sankey and Evans frequently play at London’s top jazz venues, including Ronnie Scott’s, The 606 Club, and The Vortex.
